Hey Pastor, just wanted to write you a quick note to say, "hey." I was documenting my spiritual journey thus far and came to when we started coming to ROG. There had been a lot of strife between me and Ash on where to go. ROG settled that. I also had never been to a church before that was so willing to get involved and help others... to really live the Christian walk. Also everyone was very welcoming - it was our family away from family that became closer in many way than our actual family. The people there understand us on a level that our unsaved family members cannot. I also had never been friends with the pastor and his family until I met you and Carmen and kids. I appreciate all that you guys did for us while we were there and I miss everyone at church. Looking back now I don't think we realized how good we had it...it is very difficult to find this in a church. I see our role now at church, not as a place to go only to get fed and grow but as a place to go to contribute to other's growth as well. I remember when I read how Paul left some of his church plants how everyone had gotten together and were crying. When I read that when I was much younger I thought it was kind of odd and weak to say the least. However, after becoming part of the ROG family and having to leave I now know why they all wept. It was very hard that day to leave. I owe much of who I am now to how God used your life in mine. I wouldn't be of the mind to plant a church had God not used you to plant that in my mind first. (Don't worry though, I'm not holding you accountable for the inevitable bumps I will encounter on this road.) I like the saying that God never promises you an easy road, He only promises that you don't have to go alone. It is the bumps that grow us the most, isn't it? Well, I have strayed from my point and this has not been a quick, "hey." but I wanted to let you know that you, Carmen, and everyone at ROG are continually in our prayers and we are thankful for the work God has done in you.
Take care Brother and I wish you all well in your future endevours for his kingdom.

Wouldn't it be cool if someone tossed a shoe at you during the service...no, two shoes! Then you artfully dodge them, and go on with your message...very cool!
I'm always thinking of good stuff like that!

Bro
Thanks for your time today on the road to Denver and back...I can't stop thinking about the vision you (we) are casting...and the "young people's " church that is in the future...The more I meditate on it, and talk to the Lord, the more it makes sense and the more I want to be a part of it. You are a mentor to me, and an example! Thank you for all you do, and the things you show me. My Pastor. My friend!
