Hi Mona, I just took a few minutes to read through this discussion, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it encouraging. Really can't think of anything else to add, but can speak from the perspective of one of the dumb sheep who has stumbled off ...

I've been reading a lot lately about "Time Prompt Phenomenon"
This is where people seem to look at the clock at the same time everyday! I thought of you. I've experienced it, and a good friend of mine who does several Christian podcasts did his explanation form a Christian view, and , well, it made a lot of sense to me. If you want the recording or podcast site just let me know.

BTW: I've been to Staples several times over the last 2 weeks (We are upgrading company PCs) and I have to say, Patrick is a fine young man. You must be very proud. I am going to write Staples main office (through my Staples account manager) and sing his praises! Who knows? Maybe they will promote or raise the guy! He works hard enough to own the store, after all!

I spoke too soon! The time for The Truth Project will be 6:00pm at The River (We are doing it with another church...) I will let you know the details when I get them! The online site for the Project is:

Let me know what you think! - Ol' Shep (Mona from Arizona gave me that moniker!) HA!

That's funny...We had a youth group class last night where Pastor Richard talked about New Agers, Homosexuals, Mormons, J. Witness, etc. and how to respond to them. We are about to start a class (FREE) called "The Truth Project" - It is for adults and youth, and will likely be Wed.s at 6:30 - It is a study on exactly how to defend stances in our faith in a patient and respectful way (Like we are instructed to do...) I'm looking forward to it!

I forgot to mention one thing. I have been recently thinking about the near death experience. I think its a LIE from Satan...It just subtly undermines God Word about Heaven, and being in the presence of Christ when we die... God doesn't make mistakes! When we die, it's our time...He doesn't send us back... also I have been thinking about all the "ghost" shows on TV...They speak against God's promises when you think about it! (I still watch them cuz they are spooky...and here's why they are spooky. I don't think they are talking to poor old Aunt Mabel who died 40 years ago...BUT THEY MAY BE SPEAKING to something else! That is scary, and I there is scripture that tells us NOT to try and communicate with the departed. If God thought it was importatnt enough to warn us not to do it, then it is for our own good and saftey! Anyway now I'm preaching! HA! It is cool that we are on the same wave-length on these things! - Shep

Amen Sister!!! You hit the nail on the head!!! I was talking to Pastor Richard just today about the same thing!! GOD IS MOVING RIGHT HERE! It has been exciting to see how He is working...Things I would not have guessed a couple of years ago (On the soccer field..) We are out-reaching, and creating disciples! God is using us! Our youth group went from 10 to 40, and they are hungry for the Lord! We are outreaching to Pueblo West, and I am even preaching at The Legacy Commons every Sunday! WHO WOULDA THUNK THAT!!?? No wonder the enemy is on the attack. Satan must see God working, and his own time coming to an end. Desperation is a great motivator! You are soo right about Oprah and the new age...It burns me up when I hear that drek! Keep up the good fight! Maybe you could visit the River one Sunday (9:30am) - we are on the same page with you! And as far as being delussional...No way! You are a very Godly woman, who listens for God...That's a quality I wish more of us had!!- Shepherd Brice... (HA!)

Hi Missy. Thanks for that. Like Psalms 76:11. The "reverenced/feared" part has been something heavy on my heart lately. Seems that part of our Lord often gets left out, sadly. Sorry to have been silent for so long. I've been back and forth to Ohio. I started to send out a prayer request, but seem to get sidetracked by the kids. My father has had several more strokes over the past month, and he's in really poor condition - no sight, unable to speak, now unable to walk after the last one. When he did appear to have potential to go home and improve (before this last stroke), he was starving himself because he just didn't want to live in that state. He had another stroke while back in the hospital to get a feeding tube. My biggest concern is whether he's truly resting in the Lord. He has taught youth groups, has head knowledge about any religion you ask him about, he believes in the resurrection of the Lord, etc., but he never believed God was an active part of our lives here on earth (somewhat like a deist). I really struggle with a person's ability to "fully lean" on the Lord when he doesn't really believe he was a part of our life here. I've been praying a lot. When we asked him if he could give us the peace of knowing he had the Lord as his Savior, he wouldn't answer. Previously, he said, "Ask your mother," who would say, "Well, he went to church!" Not really reassuring. This was the long way of saying, I'd appreciate prayers. Thanks. Meanwhile, my grandmother (who lives with my parents) is also in the hospital in bad shape. Not sure she'll make it out. She's 98.

Blessings to you - have a nice day.

Heres some scripture that really blessed me today...thought I'd pass it on to you!
"Let us acknowledge the Lord... As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth!"
Hosea 6:3

About Me: (We're all friends, here...)
I have a husband, Phil, and seven kids from 23 years old down to 5-year-old twins: Patrick, Ryan, Sean, Kelly, Cavan, Shannon, and Collin. (The twins were God's sense of humor!) While you'll notice all the names are Irish (and with our last name being Sheehan, one would definitely see a strong Irish influence here), they're actually more German than Irish (just between us), followed closely by Scottish. Our kids have truly been a blessing, and God continues to use them to challenge and train us in His ways - ugh! My prayer is to walk closely with and grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

How has God moved in YOUR life?
Years of trying to find fulfillment by my own means had left me broken. It was at that point of need that God met me in a profound way, slowly chiseling away my attempts to maintain control on my own. "And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13) Since then, I've remained in awe over His faithfulness, guidance, (yes, even His loving discipline at times), but, most importantly, his unending patience with me! God is faithful, and "He" is in control!
